These people do not have a strong need for social relations with others.

Social Media Implications for Introversion

  • Preferring black & white data, facts and logic these people will typically thrive in social media. 
  • Text-driven interactions allow thought before any response, ideal for introverts. 
  • Social media allows for great control over interactions, providing more structure than face-to-face gatherings.
  • Fast-moving digital interactions might overwhelm introverts, however, and they may not share in the “fun” of videos or other highly social activities. 

Leadership Strategies for Introverted People with Social Media 

  • These “heads down” workers who prefer written communication can grind out impressive amounts of high-quality material. 
  • Their penchant for thoughtful response can provide consistency in maintaining a well-defined social media “personality” for an organization.
